How are your design fees structured?
Generally, we bill hourly or on a flat rate depending upon the scope of the project, the budget and estimated time required to provide desired services. Any travel time required, that is outside of our service area, will be billed at half the hourly rate.
What things should I have in mind before working with a designer?
- Set a realistic budget that includes the cost of furnishings, outside contractor work and professional design service costs
- Evaluate the items you currently have and decide what must stay and which items can go
- Set a timeline that can reasonably be met
- Pull any photos of styles or ideas that are appealing to you. This will help us to understand your style and help us put together the perfect plan for you.
What specific expertise does an interior decorator have?
A decorator specializes in the aesthetics of an interior. Specifically, establishing a cohesive color scheme and selecting the proper materials to provide a beautiful and functional space. We select everything from the paint color and flooring to artwork, lighting and accessories. We truly want to get to know you and work hard to bring in your personality, making each project unique.
Do you provide staging services?
Yes, we can provide pre-market consultations or full staging services.
How many design hours will my project take?
Each project is unique. After our initial consultation, we will have an estimate of hours required based on the scope of work.
